acronis 2014 boot disc

Thread needs solution

I just did a backup with True Image 2014 trial version then made a boot disc. I restarted the computer with the boot disc in the CD drive and the computer opened to Windows, not to the boot disc. I do not want to pres an F key in order to start the boot disc, nor do I want to change the boot order because I want this boot disc in case of computer crash. Does anyone have any suggestions?

When the CD boot menu appears only the screen, you have about 5 seconds to make menu selection of clicking the TrueImage button,

You might want to remake the user CD so you have slightly more time to make your choices as per this link example.

My understanding is your machine is not even booting the
recovery CD, so making a new CD does not seem related
to the problem. Your problem is the boot order is incorrect
for the CD\DVD and Hard Drive.

In the bios settings, change the boot drive order to

First ) CD/DVD
Second ) SATA (Hard Drive)

If no bootable CD is present, it will boot Windows from the
hard drive rather than start the recovery disk.

Other wise, you have to press a function key (Dell = F12, Biostar=F9, etc.)
just before the OS boots and make a manual selection for boot device.

Note: These are general directions, as all BIOS have different features and settings.
