Issues with Data-Backup

Thread needs solution

I had permant troubles with my backups. So I made tabula rasa: Removed SecureZone, deleted my backups on the external HD, uninstalled the software, reinstalled the newest build.

After reestablishing SecureZone the DriveBackup of my system to SecureZone worked fine. The databackaup to external HD lead to permanent shutdowns of Windows (7) in the mid of backup process. After several unseccussful trials I thought the problem could be related to the external HD. So I tried to make the backup to SecureZone: same result - Windows shutdown in the mid of backup-process.

Then I tried to make the dataBackup without starting into windows - successfully.

I was hoping to be able to make the further inkremental backups out of windows. But this does not seem to work. Acronis only offers recovery but no backup option to this Backup.

Any suggestions about the cause of the Windows-Shutdowns or how to get the inkremental DataBackups work out of Windows.

Have to leave something emotional though: I was a very satisfied user auf the 2010 version. Since I moved to 2014 I have been experiencing lots of troubles. I am very disappointed :(

Do you see any error messages?

FYI: I advise you to perform some full disk mode backups to the external HD. If you save disk backups only to the Secure Zone, you'll be out of luck if your disk suffers hardware failure.

Webrus,
With 2014, your learning curve begins again. Spend some time onthe backup guide in my signature link 2A and some additional time on the GH index at the last part as this shows how to handle some of the not so obvious options within the program.

I don't know about the secure zone but booting from the CD does provide the capability to add incremntal backups to an existing backup or even to start a whole new backup.
