Missing autocheck and lots of orphaned files after universal restore
Okay, here is a weird situation. I did a universal restore to a new Crucial SSD 250GB drive. The source was an image taken from my Asus Laptop, also an SSD. Once all the drivers were installed on the target computer and all was working I did an chkdsk /f just to make sure all was sound. There were plenty of orphaned files! Mind you, when i did the chkdsk on the Asus, there were zero errors.
Once the machine rebooted I saw the error "missing autocheck autocheck skipped". Hmm... never had an issue on my Asus and the file is there. Anyway, I restored the autocheck.exe from a source disk in case it was one of the screwed up files, did another chkdsk /f and rebooted this time nothing, no checking and no message.
I've since tried another restore from a fresh image and still the same thing. All I can think of is the boot disk ID is somehow goofed. Anyone here had a similar issue? I've done some preliminary searching on Google and found plenty of advice but none relating to a restored image.

Well, it is actually designed to move the OS from one computer to another computer (http://www.acronis.com/en-us/personal/true-image-comparison/). But, to assuage your concerns I have done, UR, Online, and regular restore.

OOPS. I misunderstood your issue.
