Feeling Liberated

Thread needs solution

Hi Guys,

Well, i'm feeling liberated.

Last night my backup drive filled up and a backup failed. I thought I would test I could restore files before disaster struck and things got interesting... Using Windows I cannot see all incremental versions so cannot select the latest backup set (known bug I guess). Used Acronis workaround, using the bootable media and it says the backup is corrupt.

Anyway, enough is enough. ATI is too immature for me to trust my life's work to. I am tired of working around known issues and the issues being fixed in each release seem trivial to me (fixing documentation? come on...).

I've uninstalled Acronis TI and now using another solution. Clearly the management team aren't chasing the home/small business users or they would focus more on making a reliable and stable platform.

Good luck to those who continue to use it. Maybe if more users would follow suite, the management team might do something about their product.

ATI bootable Rescue Media is not a "workaround". It is the recommended method to restore disks or partitions.

The image may not be corrupted. That message really means ATI can't properly read it, which is often the result of hardware issues such as disk problems, cables to external HD, USB port, etc. There were solutions you could have tried, which we often discuss in these forums and are covered in various tutorials.

Tuttle is correct about the Boot CD. If your windows machine does not boot that is how you do a restore.
