Manually seeding a remote centralized vault

Thread needs solution

I have a fairly common configuration where servers back up to a Centralized vault in one location and replication occurs to the other location. The problem is I believe that I need to seed the second location since replication is taking so long (never finishes). I see plenty of documentation on how to generate the seed for "Acronis Online" but not for a second manage vault. I need both import and export instructions. A couple of weeks ago I saw this as a walk through online (not on this site) but can not find it.

Thanks for all of your help.

Hi Mark.

Actually we don't have such feature in the product and I am thinking now on how to work it around.

Could you please clarify what kind of vault you want to use for the second location?
Is it just an unmanaged vault based on a network share? Or maybe it is a managed vault on base of Acronis Storage Node?

Hi Mark. BTW, I've received report from our development team that this case has been successfully tested in the past for unmanaged vault:

  1. Create a backup plan without replication to the first location.
  2. Copy this backup to the second location (all created files).
  3. Edit the backup plan and specify replication to the second location pointing to the copied backup.
  4. Voila! Next incremental backup will continue working with the seeded backup.
