What is 'Recover Absolute Location'

Thread needs solution

Can someone please explain to me what 'recover to absolute location' means for TIH. When I recover a disk backup of a partition to a new location, it seems to recover all folders and files as it should. So I am not sure what the 'recover absolute location' implies when recovering to a new location, and when should it be used.

When you select this option, the entire hierarchy of the folder will be recreated. For example, if you have a file located C:\big\small\file.txt, with this option, you will see a C folder, containing the big folder, itself containing the small folder, itself containing the file.txt file

I get it. Thanks for all the help you provide. So if I am restoring to a partition I want to have as my Z: drive, it will contain Z:\C:\Big\small\file.txt

Rather
Z:\C\Big\Small\file.txt
