How can I downgrade/revert to 2014?

Thread needs solution

I upgraded to 2015 without first checking if anything was missing. The first thing I wanted to use was Try & Decide but as I now know it's been dropped.

Sent feedback to Acronis and asked how I can downgrade but no reply as yet. Can someone here please tell me how to get back to 2014.

Did you register your serial numbers in your account? If you have, then go to your account and then go to Products & Downloads and expand the one you're looking for and you should be able to download it and the serial number is there too. If you haven't registered then register your serial number in the Enter serial number(s): box and hit Register and you should see you have x registered products. Uninstall ATI 2015 and then do as normally.

Thank you, Josh. I now have 2014. However - when I clicked on Try&Decide I got an error message that it "cannot work on this computer because it has GPT disks only." I'm using a new Windows 8.1 laptop.

So I can't have Try&Decide whichever way I go. I want to keep my GPT disks so looks like I'll be upgrading again to 2015 and I'll have to learn to live without Try&Decide. A great pity.

I wonder if GPT disks are the real reason Acronis dropped Try&Decide?

You're welcome.

I would imagine so that would be the main reason but for more detailed answers I leave that to the experts. Me too, I have GPT and I abandoned Try&Decide deciding that it's not worth abandoning GPT for the sake of it. I stopped using Try&Decide about 2-3 years ago and my method now for trying out new software is backups. It only takes about 3-5 minutes for restoring. Because today I have a SSD (OS) and a SATA III HDD (backups and games) the restore is a lot quicker than when I used to have SATA II HDD and USB 2 external drive.

I saw the list of removed functions in ATI 2015, and truthfully, I don't use them - the only one I used religiously was Try&Decide which was a great tool. Now it's not so bad.
