Rescue disk error: Unable to run Boot menu.
In my post 59451 of 2014-07-25 entitled "Rescue disk creation error" ( http://tinyurl.com/kpuufjf ), I wrote
"Now, regarding this Rescue disc, is it usable on more than one pc? as in any pc with Acronis?"
thomasjk answer: "Yes."
On an off-site pc running Win7, I have finally been able to use Win7's built-in disk burning capability to create a Rescue disk for my pc running XP Pro Sp3.
I configured XP pc bios to look to cdrom to boot and tried the Rescue disk. The pc freezes up at a blank screen.
I reconfigured that bios to look to dvd first and retried with the following result:
STARTING ACRONIS LOADER...Abort!
Acronis Loader: Unable to run Boot menu.
Press to continue..._
Monitor screen then goes to Acronis logo screen showing list of Acronis patents and freezes there. allows continuing to boot normally to XP which fortunately is in no need of rescue yet. Meanwhile, what good is this Rescue disk? I'm probably missing something simple.
Thanks for any help. I know you are busy.
