Don't ask me to upgrade

This worked for me. Credits to Ken Sendal.

start notepad "as admin" - file open - navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc - change selection "textfiles" to "all files" - open "hosts" - paste
127.0.0.1 download.acronis.com
as a single line at the end of file - save/overwrite - done
you might have to disable your av/firewall to be able to overwrite

But while this line is present in "hosts" it might also prevent you from being able to download other stuff from Acronis

Thanks. Yes this is easy enough but my usual response to Malware is to remove it. Giving Acronis 1 day to fix before I do from all my computers and will never go back.
