Universal Restore Builder crashes when attempting to build disc

Thread needs solution

If you try to build an all in one Media Disc/Key it crashes with the following error.

Code: 1,572,875(0x0018000B)
LineInfo: 0x9078F2483C89C635;

Module: universal_restore_media_builder_vs_38938
Message: Cannot load the required components. Please reinstall Acronis Bootable Media Builder.

Now, if you build JUST a standalone Universal Restore disc/key and not include True Image it works fine. I have reinstalled as it suggested. Twice. For both products.

A little digging turned up this:

From version 2012 which seems to imply it is a bug on the software side and nothing I can do. So, it has no relevant steps I can do to resolve it.

GRA,

It is working on my system (W8.1). did you have a previous version of TI installed? It is possible that if you upgraded over the top, some files did not get replaced correctly. If that is the case, an uninstall of both 2015, and URB would be a good idea and then a manual deletion of the media builder folders in the True Image and in the Common folders\acronis folder are in order.

Then re-install both programs.

GRA,

Would you be able to take a screenshot of the components you have in the list of Rescue Media Builder - and which ones you select exactly?

In addition, please get a system report - we want to look into the history of Acronis installations and potential left-overs in the system to understand why the Media Builder fails.

I'll ping you via PM to explain how to upload data - we'll look into it with our RnD.

Thx,
Alexander
