Will complete restore defragment a disk?
Thread needs solution
Since I only do full disk images then I guess that the word "image" might be the giveaway answer to my question. Anyway, here goes!
I guess that I don't know if a file is backed up completely before moving on to the next one or if the disk heads start at the first data sector and are then copied sequentially (thus also copying the fragmentation).
If the first is true then it only goes to reason that a file is contiguous after a full restore and will only be fragmented from then on as data is appended. Right???
Just curious!
