validated backups detected as corrupt

Thread needs solution

Hi, so my worst problem with Acronis has been that it will do incremental backups to a USB drive and validate them every time (using the windows program), but when I go to restore the backups to a different drive, the boot disk tells me that the backups are corrupted.

Granted I am using long chains of incremental backups, but if the validation says they're okay, they should be okay right?

This has happend to me twice in two different situations (win 7 and 8.1). The last time I tried to get support from Acronis they wouldn't/couldn't elevate me past the level where the guy just reads the knowledgebase to you and the best they could do was to offer me a refund at the end of the day (also taking away my license).

Has anyone else run into this problem and found a solution?

Thanks!

Where do you store these backups? I had the same problem as I was storing the backups on a WD MyCloud. I ended up guessing it was an issue with the file system on that NAS, or some obscure SMB implementation issue. I solved the issue by copying the chain on to a USB disk and restore from there.
