Can I "suspend" backup to cloud?
I've looked at various threads here and find related items, but nothing that really answers my question.
I'm essentially a "newbie" using this program, and using the cloud, so pardon me if there is a simple answer to this.
I have newly installed Acronis True Image 2014. I am performing "online backup" to "Acronis Cloud". I do not see any buttons for "suspend" or "pause"...only "cancel". Does this mean that there is no way to temporarily halt the upload, and then resume at a later time? I am working from a laptop, and occasionally I'd like to use it as a laptop, i.e., move it from one location (my house) to another (client's office) - which will cause a loss of internet connectivity along the way. What happens at that time? Do I have to start over? Are files that have already uploaded to the cloud still there? The subdirectory I'm backing up is estimated to take over 1 day to complete (partly due to slow upload from ISP).
Thanks for any help you can provide.

I did have a "chat" with Acronis support person. Although it wasn't real clear, he said if there was a "power outage", the backup would resume once power was restored. Extrapolating, I took that to mean that an interruption in internet connectivity would behave the same way. There is in fact no "suspend", "pause", or "resume" option.
As it turns out, I did have to take my laptop with me on a local trip. Internet connectivity was lost. When reestablished, True Image gave me a "reconnecting" indication for the file backup operation that was in progress when connectivity was lost. It tried to "reconnect" for many minutes, until finally it said "backup failed." I clicked "backup now", and the backup operation reconnected to the cloud server. The progress bar then jumped to the point (and file) it was at when connectivity was lost, and backup resumed from that point. I'm hopeful that what was already uploaded is still there, and the backup is proceeding as if nothing happened.

Well, now, isn't just what we all expected AT to do? ;)

2 days into a 3 day upload, I lost connectivity. When connectivity was reestablished, ATIH said "calculating" for the backup that had been interrupted. It stayed on "calculating" for literally hours, until I rebooted and went back into ATIH. Again, "calculating", without any action. I rebooted again, I intentionally cycled the modem/router, and still "calculating". So, with lots of trepidation, I hit the "cancel" button. ATIH asked me if I really wanted to "suspend" the operation. Note the word...SUSPEND!
I clicked yes, exited ATIH, then reentered. The backup operation I had been attempting had a message saying that the operation had not been completed. With fingers crossed, I clicked on "backup now"...and, wowza!, it started to back up right where it had left off....and the 2 days of uploads had not been forgotten!!!
Although I'm disappointed that I had to go through all of these gyrations, and that the instructions and semantics aren't clear ("cancel" versus "suspend"), I'm happy that I didn't have to repeat 2 days of uploading.
Thanks, Acronis...I think.

This problem of wording was drawn to Acronis' attention during the beta.

Concerning this issue with Acronis True Image 2015, please see https://forum.acronis.com/forum/71348 and reply there. Any assistance/info will be appreciated. I've had that topic up for 5 days as of this comment post and have had zero replies. If I don't obtain an answer via the forum soon, I'll submit a support request.
