ATI 2014 restore failed. Will ATI 2015 solve it?

Thread needs solution

I have set up my system backup under ATI 2014 as follows: first a full backup followed by six differential backups each day, then a full backup again and so on and on.... From time to time I delete some old backup series with Windows explorer. Stupid me, I overlooked that ATI can do that automatically!
Now I need to restore my system but get the message that Version x could not be found. Obviously ATI is referring to backup versions that I mannuallly deleted far in the past. A bit annoying as I have still minimal 4 recent complete backup cycles (4 x 7 daily backups).

My question is: Does ATI 2015 handles this the same way as 2014 or does it (hopefully) only needs one starting full backup, no matter if former backup series were deleted?

Tanks in advance,
Jan

Never delete a TIB file manually, unless you know exactly how to refresh the database.

In your case, shutdown ATI, stop any non-stop backup, rename the archives.xml file to archives.OLD in the c:\programdata\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database\ folder.

Boot your computer on the recovery CD and do the restore.

ATI 2015 has a new database system for archive management, but the same principles remain.
