Crash landing and trying to pick up the pieces. Have question on Recovery...

Thread needs solution

My boot drive was wonky and erratic so I purchased Win 8.1 and a new SSD. Prior to taking the system down I backed up everything with True Image 2009 or 10, I can't remember, onto two Passport 1tb drives.

After a successful Win 8 install I realized I couldn't open all my .TIB files with the software that was backed up!!! This afternoon I downloaded True Image 15 trial version to try and recover my files, but cannot find a RECOVERY button, only a BACKUP button. Help! At this point I logged into Acronis and purchased the True Image 15 upgrade for $30 but still can't find the Recovery button. I only see a Back Up Now button.

I've identified the TIB files to be recovered on my Passport and chose a destination on another external drive.

Thanks for any help you can give~

David

Use the Acronis recovery CD to restore your backup. Boot the computer on it to do the recovery. Once this is done, you will be then creating new tasks and you will see the recover option become availabl.e
