Basic First Time user needs to use Acronis 2014 to Recover disc but lost at selection screen need help!

Thread needs solution

About 2 weeks ago- NO ANSWER! Posted this question for very basic support but had no response or answers, anyone out there? Seems support for this site is useless if you at acronis can't help me with such a basic thing. i don't think I'll buy your product again. sigh....

Hi I'm new to this recovery thing. Recently forced by Microsoft to upgrade to 8.1 which I discovered after upgrading that it could not load browsers. Anyway so i had to use HP recovery disc to take it back to "factory settings" WINDOWS 8. Anyway I lost my files. I only made ONE backup which was a full disc backup so I figure I have to recover the whole disc right?

Anyway I select backup and recovery which presents me with a screen that gives me a list of four options with check boxes: Under title:

Under Source and destination: WINRE - NTSF 235.4MB
Unnamed Partition - FAT 32 111.3MB
Local Disk (C:) - NTSF 88.4 GB
Unnamed Partition - NTSF 28.5MB

Also in the upper left corner a blue "Switch to disk mode" button, which leads to Toshiba whole disc with the four items above listed but greyed out and 598 GB

My question is which box(s) should I select? or should I just go to "disk mode" to select entire drive (I'm assuming)?

I don't care whether files go back to the same place or not since the computer was "reinstalled" after crash to "factory" conditions but I don't know how to proceed.....

One more question to: IF/WHEN I am able to upgrade to 8.1 and or/change the HD and, if I just need to just recover the files can I do that over the full disc backup or would I have to do file backup? When I get this computer the way I want it? Thanks for response in advance. Hope some expert on this can shed some light on how to use this very complex software. Frank

Hey MVPs! Any out there? Need Very Basic help on how to recover! Is this product any good? HELP! SOS!

Review my signature link 3 below. Within that link, review items 2, 3 and 5.
Your selections of what to restore depends upon what you want or need to restore.

A selection of the disk to be restored will restore everyhing on the disk back to what it was at backup time.
A selection of Window C only will restore C only to what it was at backup time.
