Failed to Backup File or Folder

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I tried to run a backup of folders on our file server last night and received a "Failed to backup file or folder" error from Acronis. The account the job was running under has full control of the folder that failed. It looks like it was prompting for a retry/ignore/cancel, but nobody would be around to choose one of those options. Is it possible to make the job ignore errors and log them instead of halting?

This is from the log file.

I'm not sure why it would need to create a file.?

I am using Acronis® True Image Echo Enterprise Server® with Acronis Universal Restore® (build 8,398).

If anyone could offer some help, i would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.
To ignore the error message please set Silent Mode in the default backup options (connect Acronis True Image Management Console to the remote computer, click Remote Computer Options and select Default backup  options -> Error handling -> Do not show messages and dialogs while processing (“silent” mode).
But we should find the exact reason of the mentioned error to avoid the archive corruption. Could you please provide us with the log file of the failed operation?
- Select Tools -> Show log;
- Choose the log entry which contains errors;
- Click on the diskette icon, choose the location (folder) and save there;
- Attach the log file to your next post.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other questions do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.
