Problem with Acronis One-Click Backup
I just purchased and installed an upgrade from Acronis True Image 11 to Aronis True Image Home 2010. The program appears to have installed correctly and I can open the main program. However, when I try to use the Acronis One-Click Backup icon I get the following internal error message:
Internal Error - Please contact Acronis support team for information on how to resolve this issue. The complete description of the issue is:
(0x0)
Tag = 0x0
I've enjoyed using your products and hope to do so in the future. What do I need to do to resolve this issue?

I have exactly the same problem. Is there a solution somewhere on the Acronis web site ?

Mine gets the Windows error with no indication of what the error is.
"Acronis True Image has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Hi
I just bought ATI 2010, installed it and I get the same error ( (0x0)
Tag = 0x0) on 1 step BU. Also can't seem to get through to support.
Tried doing a disk backup and after 2 hours of it saying progress 0% I gave up

I solved this problem by reformatting my externl NTFS drive (Seagate Portable External 320GB) and starting with the regular Akronis backup, first.
Perfect no, but in the end it doesn't matter that much to me, as long as it gets done. I already have my bootable CD created.

It's been five days since I purchased the 2010 upgrade and got the internal error message tag=0x0. No reply from you yet. Are you working on the problem?

or just schedule the backup and wait till it is in the queue and when the time has PASSED for the backup to start just eject your external hard drive and then reconnect. It will show something you haven't seen before!! NOTE: you have to be able to see schedule tasks in TI to pull this off. When your backup is done you will have full control of One Click. Really this one will work!!! You may have to try it a couple of times to get the feel of what is going on. I have spent numerous days trying to fix this with no help from anyone. I thought that I have seen that type of error before then in dawned on me that the structure of the error was similar to a USB stack problem that I was having. Guess how my external hard drive is connected to my computer? If you guess USB then you are right!! That was a clue for tech team and not a slam against you all!!!
Post Scriptum
I have never seen software that has provided as many opportunities to become a "purchased Beta tester" as this one3 has. I have literally replaced every major function of this software at the direction of the TI Techs assigned to monitor this forum. Actually by proxy because I never talked to a tech (just to be fair!!)
I elected to use this software because I was so impressed with it BEFORE I migrated to Windows 7. It works great as a migrated program. Then the 30 days ran out. At that point I opted to use the Windows 7 backup. There wasn't enough flexibility with that because I am a maniac with my computer. MY fault but my use should be met regardless.
So to all of you, to include myself, that have beta tested this with your own time after paying should really ask Acronis one question. Are you really going to charge me for this?

Like a fool, I upgraded to Home 2010 and get the same error message tag = 0x0 and I also need some help!!!!!!!!!!!!! Repairing from the CD didn't help at all.
Hey folks, this used to be decent software but with all the crap that has been added to it, it has become a nightmare! WHY HASN'T A TECH POSTED A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM HERE...OR EVEN ACKNOWLEGED IT!! HAS ANYONE TRIED TO CONTACT THESE PEOPLE? WHAT A FRIGGING HASSLE! I THINK I WILL BE LOOKING FOR OTHER SOFTWARE SOON.

One-Click Backup was working fine for me in Acronis TI Home 2010 even two days ago. Now suddenly I get the same tag 0,0 error. Normal backup still works but this does not fill one with confidence in the product that a restore will work! Please post a fix as soon as possible.

Just a note to tell the Acronis management people just how lousy your "support" really is. Having to pay for phone support is thievery, unable to fix the miserable non-performance of the "One click backup" fiasco, no attention at all to the forums for months for problems with customers raging for solutions to your poor and highly confusing software, asking customers to perform crazy maneuvers to identify faults your own software people are too lazy or incompetent to do themslves, the inability for Acronis to identify an Acronis backup file without the silly necessity to build a "location", etc, etc. It goes on and on. In short, what used to be a very decent backup program is now one of the worst. Norton Ghost and others are far better and user friendly. On top of that, your company has the unmitigated gall to email customers to purchase new programs?? (Home 2010 Plus Pack ). More error laden stuff? UNBELIEVABLE SHODDY SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE IS THE SIMPLE EMAIL ACCESS???????????????????

Just purchased the 2010 upgrade and installed it and now have the same problem with the one-click feature. Before I used the Acronis True Image 11.0 for a year and had no problem whatsoever. Did you really beta test the new 2010 program before going to market.
I think maybe part of the problem may be that it installs 2010 on top of 11.0. In this case, there was no option to elect where 2010 would be installed.
Would sure be interested in some techy sending me an email with some suggestions.

I have the latest build of Acronis PC Backup & Recovery as well as "Plus Pack". Clicking the Acronis One Click Backup icon results in the same error other users are having: (0X0) Tag=0X0.
What is the resolution to the error . . . how do I fix it? I don't see a fix described for the error.

The One Click desktop icon doesn't work but you don't need it since the process works from the link when you open the main pgm. icon. I told them to delete the icon from the next build.
They need some serious NEW SOFTWARE PEOPLE. The pgm. is going out of control from so much "bloat ware" and weird requirements, ie: having to set up a special area for B/U's, etc.
I seriously doubt if any Acronis people monitor this forum very often, if at all.

Regarding Acronis 2010 One- Click backup that will not work, I have found a fix. I run on MS XP Professional and found that MS update KB956844 is incompatible with some of my programs, causing them not to work properly.
Here's the solution:
Go to Control Panel->Add/Remove programs, check the box at the top "Show Updates", and let it populate. Then find the MS update KB956844 and uninstall it.
The One-Click Acronis 2010 program should now run properly. Mine did!
Good luck!

I can't schedule the one click. It wants to do the backup at 8 pm on a certain day of the week. It will allow me to change the day and time, but when I go back to it, the old time and day is back there again. It's so frustrating....
Acronis gets such great reviews, and TI 2009 was working fine, but ever since I upgraded , nothing but problems. My network computers can't see my hard drive, even I seem to not have permission to see my own drive if I try to view it through my Network Neighborhood. ANd to make mateters worse, uninstalling the software does not resolve this problem, oly resetting to a previous restore point in Windows will open my drives again. ARRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

Well, at least I have resolved my inaccessible shares problem, with the help of KOLO. I needed to create a new Win Registry value. How is that for simple and user friendly software! Thanks MS and Acronis.

Hello all,
We're terribly sorry for the inconvenience that you have experienced with Acronis On-Click Backup.
The thing is that our QA Team has failed to reproduce the issue, and we need the files requested by Alexander in this post to troubleshoot the issue further.
If you are unable to submit a request to Acronis Customer Service Department because of the expired support license, please send me a Private Message.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

In my case at least, this appears to be a transient problem because shortly after my post of 12 Dec 2009 the problem disappeared and has not reoccurred.
- Se connecter pour poster des commentaires

what kind of files do you need, would it help if I sent you a video of how setting a backup time in one click does not seem to "stick" ?
- Se connecter pour poster des commentaires

Note: For those of you using "One Click" Backup, read the user manual about what is being backed up.
As I read the manual, only the system partition (usually C) and the MBR is being backed up. If you have a data partition or a boot partition or any other partitions on your system disk, these are NOT being included in your "one click" backup.
If you have partitions that are not being backed up, then should you need to restore to a new drive, these missing partition cannot be transferred to a new drive since they are not included in the backup.
The solution is to create a new task (scheduled or non-scheduled) and manually select the entire system disk (which is to check mark the "disk" option backup) which includes everything on the system disk. This solution is described in 6.3.2 on page 42 of the manual.
Update:
This link below has additional information about the One-Click Backup feature.

I too am getting the very same error message (see attached screen shot).
Note however;
After first installing the software this weekend (new installation - not an upgrade), I started the software with both icons on the desktop
- Acronis True Image Home 2010
- Acronis One-Click Backup
Both started Ok with no errors.
I exited both whithout doing anything. I then started:
- Acronis True Image Home 2010
and created a backup & scheduled it to run every Tuesday and exited the program. Now, if I click on:
- Acronis One-Click Backup
I get the error message.
I hope this helps get us all a FIX.

Dear customers,
As I promised, let me update you with the state of the issue. As you know, this case was escalated to Development Team, they have fixed the issue. The fix will be available in next update for Acronis True Image Home 2010.
We have created a new article in our Knowledge base concerning the issue. Please see it for more information. This article contains a workaround that should allow you to use the One-click backup option..
