Just plain not working

My PC crashed and am trying to re-install from a USB drive onto my new PC. I finally got the license transferred.

When I follow the directions of section 7.2 all that happens is that Acronis freezes and I have to to to the Task Manager to turn Acronis off. Here is a screen shot. Somehow I have my documents and and similar files recovered but am trying to figure out how to recover applications so that they run the same way as before.

So far this is not seeming any better than the native Windows 7 backup. I bought Acronis just a few months ago and now it seems that this forum is my only user support.

sorry for the delayed answer.

To restore your applications you need to restore a disk/partition backup as a whole and not separate files and folders.

Please read this article for more information on the difference between disk- and file-level backups.

If you have a full system backup please follow this guide to recover your system.
