Universal Restore Disk

Thread needs solution

I'm a bit confused between the making of a boot disk and the universal restore disk. A friend who is rather computer literate was here and said he thought it looked like the boot disk included the universal. If so, why does Acronis ask for the creation of the second disk. I'm particularly interested in being able to restore to new hardware as one of my computers is rather old and I'm concerned I'll have to replace it soon, hopefully before it crashes.

With the recent version, you have 2 executables. One to do a regular restore, another to modify the restored data to insert the proper drivers. So a universal restore operations is now 2 distinct operations. After you are done with the regular restore, reboot on the universal restore CD to complete the operation.
You can use a tool like YUMI to make a bootabe USB flash disk that allows you to boot into one of the 2 ISOs.
