Backup only for files newer than a certain date?
Is it possible to tell Acronis to backup only files that are newer than e.g. 2 days ago?
My problem: Once a month I do a complete backup of all my drives to an external hard disk. And I also want to backup the new files in certain folders on a daily basis, these backups are done to one of my internal drives.
But I made a new task for the daily backups because for that I don't need the complete drives, only certain folders. And now Acronis doesn't realized that it has already backed up most of this data to the big external drive. It wants to make a full backup first, before it starts the incremental, and I don't have enough free space for that on my internal drive.
So, how do I tell Acronis that it should only save the files that are newer than the most recent full backup that's on the other drive?

Thank you very much.
It doesn't have to be Ture Image, I just want a software for backup. I thought Acronis True Image was a backup program.
I need a tool that
a) zips my backups (not enough space for just copying them)
b) shuts down Win 7 when it's finished
I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Windows 7 Backup does this. Type "Backup" into the start/search box. You would need to script the backup with a scheduled task if you want the PC to shut down when the backup is finished, however. The backup scheme is incremental, so each backup doesn't take long to complete.

You can backup only files that you choose in Acronis 2010 and SUPPOSEDLY have a zipped backup. I say SUPPOSEDLY because that particular feature does not actually work. I get a .z01 file instead of a zip file. Choose "Backup Reserve Copy". This creates BOTH a tib backup and SUPPOSEDLY a zip file (in a different location) so you may not have the space.
The z01 file seems to contain nothing and is totally useless. It would be GREAT if it actually worked. :(
