Fix yet for bsod when plugging in flash drives for True Image Home 2009?
On three different Windows 7 computers (two of the computers the hard drives were wiped clean (format) of XP by Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade 32-bit, the other a new laptop shipped with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit pre-installed) when I plug either of the two flash drives I have, sometimes I will get a BSOD for a couple seconds and then it reboots. Not even half the time, but I always wonder each time I put one in, will it happen this time?
From viewing the minidump file it shows that the tdrpm228.sys is causing the crashes. That is a file for Acronis True Image Home 2009 - the try and decide option, which I never use. My boot partition is not that big, so when I try something that I don't think I'll want to keep I just do a drive image and when I'm done I restore the image. I'm using the current build 9.809. I had thought to get 2010 but read in the forums it was a problem in 2010 too, but those posts are old. Has there been a fix for it yet, or should I uninstall True Image and just run it off the cd when I want to backup or restore?
I tried just deleting tdrpm228.sys but then the computer didn't see the flash drives.
The system info and the Acronis report file is from the 64-bit Windows 7 computer.
