Thread needs solution

I want to create an image of a dual boot PC such that I can restore it when I replace the hard drive.
I want to store the image on an external hard drive, connected by USB.
I do not wish to use "the cloud."
The default operating system is Linux Mint (Debian xfce 17.1). It is on an ext4 partition.
The other OS is Windows 7, on ntfs.
I assume I can install Acronis True Image for PC on the Windows partition and image the entire hard disk.
Will this software accomplish my objective? Do you see any potential problems?
Thank you.

With a dual boot system and a Linux partition, I recommend you use the Acronis recovery CD to perform both backups and restores.
