Phantom Virtual Drive

Hi
I have recently been getting messages appearing when I first log in to my OS (Windows 7 SP1Home Premium 64-bit) that there is an unallocated Drive F that needs formatting.
I only have one HDD with Partitions for Drive C (System) and Drive E (My Data) plus the usual System Reserved Partition.
Drive F can be allocated automatically to any external USB device that I connect. However, if I use Acronis True Image to make a new backup and then mount the C and D drives to check them, Drive F is never used - they are allocated Drives G and H. I never try and mount the Unallocated System Reserved Partition.
Because the F Drive letter is used regularly except by Acronis True Image, I suspect this programme is the culprit and would like to know how to get rid of this reference to this non-existent Virtual Drive. Perhaps there is a file within Acronis True Image or a Registry Entry relating to it that might be able to be corrected or deleted.
Can anyone help me in sorting out this very irritating problem? I attach a screenshot of the message I am getting.
