Acronis True Image 2014 - Backup fails

Thread needs solution

I use ATI 2014 on three pc's on a home network. I backup daily on shutdown to a 1 TB NAS drive. This process has worked perfectly for as long as I have used ATI Home, ATI 2013 and ATI 2014...until June 5, 2015. After that date all backups fail on all three pc's, although nothing special occurred in the network on that date. The Event Log shows that everything was going fine until "Failed to open backup \\IOMEGAEZ\Backups...Make sure the backup location is accessible and contains all versions of the backup. This backup may also be corrupted." However, the backup location is totally accessible from any of the connected pc's, and I can move files into and out of the NAS drive over the network. The Backups folder on the NAS drive also shows what appears to be a successful backup file for each PC. Is it really there? Is it corrupted?

How has this been resolved by others? Delete and reconfigure each backup on each PC? Delete and reinstall Acronis on each PC? I suspect some compatiblilty issue between ATI 2014 and the Iomega NAS drive, but there was no software update to either around that June 5 date. The automatic backup process fails, and a manually-inititated backup fails in the identical fashion.

Any advice appreciated, thanks.

On JUNE 15, did you change Disks or reset the NAS or make any change of configurationto the nas?

Try this on one machine first.

The program does not know where the files are stored. Use the Task Move option and point the Task storage location to the exact same folder as before

In other words, simulate making a change even though the backup location never moved.

If this works, then a change to the NAS occurrred and you will need to make the move option on the other computers.

Let us know the results.

Are these tasks being validated during creation? or when is validation occurring?

There was no issue with the Iomega NAS. I uninstalled and reinstalled Acronis on all three pc's and backups are now working properly.
