cannot backup to dvd

Hi,

I have Acronis True Image Home 2009 Build 9809.

I tried to back up my C: drive to DVD but I have got error message 'Device is busy'. The same problem when I try to use 'Bootable rescue media builder'. Finally I saved the 'media builder' to ISO image and write it to DVD with a 3rd party DVD writing software but how can I save to DVDs my 'MyBackup.tib' which is 8GB?

Welcome to Acronis Forum, we're glad you joined us.

In case you receive "Device is busy" message it means that our software cannot access CD-ROM. Usually it happens in case CD-ROM is accessed by some third-party software drivers.

In order to resolve the issue I would suggest to temporarily uninstall any recording software (like Nero, etc.), reboot the machine and try to backup to DVD again.

I have installed the 3rd party software after this problem.

I checked this problem on the internet and it seems some other people has the same problem (suggestion: keep the cd tray open stc.)

Im using a laptop with Windows Vista 32-bit Home Premium SP2.
