No Ignore Button

Thread needs solution

My backup drive crashed, so I put in another one. Changed the location to save to. Now I receive the error;

Error occurred while opening the file.

Click Retry to try to read from the same location. To create a new version acording to the current backup scheme, click Ignore.

Retry Cancel

Ok so it doesn't find the file because it doesn't exisit. So I want to click "Ignore" to create a new version. Trouble is that there is NO Ignore button. So now what?

AcronisU999, the main issue with changing your backup drive is that the Acronis Database will remember the Unique Identifier (UUID) of the crashed drive, and just changing the backup location in the task will not update that UUID.

The method of getting around this error is to click on (V) on the right of your task name and take the option to Clone task settings and then select the replacement backup drive as the destination for backups in the cloned task - this process will keep all your other settings.

When finished with creating the cloned task, do not run it immediately, but select to Backup later, then you can Delete the original backup task (settings only as the files are not accessible on the crashed drive).  You can then rename the cloned task as required - this is only possible before you run it for the first time.
