Unable to access the backup ...
Today, when you create a scheduled backup got this error:(Unable to access the backup ...)

I checked, all backups are in place only in the name of v1, TrueImage requires version v11.

What is the problem and how to fix it?

Unexpectedly, but everything earned.
Made check of backup copies, TrueImage reported that they are damaged.
But after clicking of the Create the Copy button everything passed successfully.
Now at me backup copies look here so.

Backup #4 looks good. It has one full and one incremental so far, but the naming is correct. Did you try to validate it to make sure it shows no errors now? If you manually deleted the other files, when you go to validate, it will say ther eare missing files and ask you to locate them. Just ignore those and Acronis will remove the record of those and then should validate once they have been removed from the database.

I am trying a recovery, just to make sure the back up was good. I keep getting a message "Cannot find version 1 ...." Si I accept the browse option to find it, and then get a "failed to open" message. Using Acronis 2016 for PC

Barry, welcome to these user forums.
I would recommend doing a Validation for your backup task to ensure that all the information related to that task can be verified, if there are any missing files or versions, then you will be given pop-up messages for each missing item. You should take the Ignore option for any missing files and repeat this until the validation has completed.
The message you are seeing could be caused by deleting backup version files using Windows Explorer or moving them to a different drive etc.
For future issues, please raise your own new topic rather than appending to the end of another users thread - you just need to click on the 'New topic' button at the top right of the first page of the forum.

Barry (via PM) wrote:I have backed up my computer and validated the back up. However i want to recover a file, just to test that the computer is really backed up.
However, the "Recovery" box in the right hand panel doesn't appear as you can see in the attached screen shot. Also under the "Last Backup" heading the words "Never Performed" appear and further, there is no green tick on the back up names. I am sure that immediately after the back all was as it should be.
It is driving me mad. can you help?
Barry, if you are seeing 'Never Performed' for your Last Backup status, then there cannot be a Recovery option offered as ATIH doesn't believe a backup has been created yet, so a catch-22 situation.
If you can access the backup image file that you created, then try using the option to 'Add existing backup' that you can find at the bottom of the task name column - look for the (V) icon and click on this.
Once you have added the backup, you should then see further options for what you can do with it.
Alternatively, you can also use Windows Explorer to either 'Mount' the backup image as a drive letter, or to open and explore the backup contents by simply double-clicking on the .TIB file from Explorer. Using either of these methods, you can use Copy & Paste to restore individual files or folders etc to test the integrity of the backup.
