Password change service account

Thread needs solution

Hello,

Had to reset the password that runs the Managed service machine service etc. Have done this on all machines with agents and the server that runs acronis now all my machines are showing error and tasks wont run. Am i misisng something else?

thank you for your posting! Have you tried to modify the existing backup plans as described in 26575: Acronis Backup & Recovery: Scheduled Backup Plan Fails with "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password"?

Have you changed only the password or the whole user account to a different one? Generally, we do not recommend changing a user account for a component's service after the installation except cases listed in the following part of the documentation Specifying credentials for Acronis services. If you must specify a different account, make sure that the new account is granted the listed privileges List of Acronis services

Thank you Ekaternia, I ended up just re-installing with the latest build which seems to work. The previous admin had set the service account for acronis to be the generic admin account which we had to change due to it being a security risk once he left.
