ATIH 2018: Acronis Account - need to do clean install for device to be included in My Account/Manager Computers

Not sure if this is a general issue, but I have found the flowing:

  1. PCs only appear in My Account > Manage Computers if you do a clean installation of ATI 2018. Installing over the 2018 beta or 2017 does not result in the PC being listed
  2. If you try to overcome this by entering the serial number you get 'invalid serial number".

The only way to overcome the problem is to delete the installation of ATI 2018, delete any orphaned registry entries (the latter may not be necessary I just did it out of abundant caution).

One thing I like is that you can de-authorise computers from Manage Computers - I am relatively sure that option was not there previously.

Hi Ian,

I've been struggling with the same issue. Like you, the only computers that show up under the Manage screen are computers that had a clean install of TI 2018 when there where no previous installs of TI. Unlike you, I can't overcome the issue by uninstalling TI 2018 or TI 2017 and then installing TI 2018. I've tried with and without cleaning up left over registry entries. It doesn't work either way. What procedure did you use to clean up after the uninstall?
