Problems with full backup in Acronis Security Zone

Thread needs solution

Hi,

since today I'm new here in the forum.
I use on my new laptop Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).
To the Acronis TrueImage Home 2011.

Yesterday I wanted to make a first full backup in the Acronis-security zone.

Unfortunately, breaking the backup from the end and there is some sort of problem with the drive C: \ System.

Can someone help me?

Thanks and best regards,
Ingo

It's not clear what your prob is so hard to say how to treat it. But if you C drive is acting up then the last place you want to make a backup is to a SZ on the C harddisk. You want to put your backup on a physically diff harddisk so, if your C harddisk goes total wonk, you can replace the harddisk with a new one and still restore the original image to the new drive. If your C harddisk goes wonk and its the same harddisk that holds the SZ, then you won't be able to access the SZ. So keep your backups on a diff harddisk!

Hello and thank you for your reply.

Sorry - I'm from Germany and only speak poor English :-)

I have taken place for the SZ of my partition "D" and also a part of the partition "C".

I want to back up the partition "C" including the "System Status" on my Windows 7

Does your answer that I can not save a backup to the SZ, as part of the space for the SZ is also on the partition "C" is located?

Thanks and regards,

You have a hard disk. It can have one or more partitions and each partition is assigned a drive letter. What yo do not want to do is sote your backups on the same physical hard disk as what you are backing up. You can't access the harddisk is the harddisk is broken, so you can't access the backups if your harddisk is broken if you have them on the harddisk that is broken.
