Acronis now assigning Drive Letters inside of Backup .tif files

Thread needs solution

While viewing my .tib files in Windows 10, I noticed that my first backup showed partitions as Drive C;, Recovery and FAT32. On subsequent backups, the partitions showed C;, D: and FAT32. Why is Acronis assigning drive letters inside of the backup file? Is this normal?

James, welcome to these User Forums.

As far as I am aware what you are seeing is normal - I looked a selection of different .tib files and these gave a similar view where no Recovery partition was shown but could be found by opening the FAT32 entry.  Any drive letter is temporary to allow you to explore the file contents rather than being a true representation of how the contents would look if recovered where drive letters may or may not be assigned depending on the partition type.
