True Image 2018 Seems to Ignore Differential Settings
Hi
We are using True Image 2018 and have it set up to do differential backups at a set time every week. It has completed two differential backups successfully but now tries to do a full backup even though it is set to differential.
We have not set it to do another full backup after X differential backups.
As well, if you tell the software to start the backup before the scheduled time, will it automatically start a full BU? That seems to be our experience.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello Renata,
Thank you for your reply. I have attached three screen shots. Although it does not show it, successful differential backups were completed June 8th and 15th. Please let me know if you need more information.

Rob, thanks for the screen images, these clearly show that your backup task has not yet completed a new full backup. This is shown on the Activity page image where it states:
Backup was configured on Thursday May 31 2018 1:52 PM then 2 further backup runs were Stopped on June 1 and June 23, then gave a Quotas violated error today.
All new backups have to create an initial Full backup on which any further differential backups will be based.
Your images also show you have a second task cloned from the first (Data and cloned task (1)Data which makes me wonder if you have modified the Destination location for the problem task, i.e. Data is pointed at E:\Backup May 24-18\ whereas (1)Data is pointed at E:\ ?
Acronis needs to be able to find the files created by any task, and stores information about locations in the Acronis Database files - if an initial full backup cannot be found in the destination location then a new Full backup would be needed.
The backup task Log files would tell the full story of what is happening here - please download the MVP Log Viewer tool from the Community Tools link in my signature which will help you look at the log files more easily.

En réponse à Rob, thanks for the screen… par truwrikodrorow…

Steve, once again, thank you for your insight. I will delete the full existing backup and clone and start with a fresh full backup.
Regards,
Rob
