Cannot clone SSD drive / failed to activate Acronis Bootable Agent
I just purchased a Crucial 1TB SSD, and am trying to clone my existing 500GB SSD to it. While it came with a version of True Image, I already own True Image 2016, so I am using that.
Everything seems okay until it told me the computer needed to restart. I clicked Restart, and then it gave me an error. Click this link to see the exact error message.

I don't know what to do now. I have searched Google for help, but no luck yet. I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have.

Thanks, Steve! I created a Acronis WinPE bootable media on USB stick, and cloned the drive that way. It worked! Unfortunately, I'm now having another problem. It's not related to Acronis (at least I don't think), so I won't post about it here, but in case anyone is curious and would like to help, I posted on another forum here:

When you clone, you need to make sure you don't boot the computer with both the source disk and the cloned disk in the computer.
I would create a full disk backup of the SSD, then replace the old disk by the new disk, then restore the image on the larger one.

Hello, I'm using a West Digital OEM Edition ATI software came with a WD nvme SSD to clone my whole system to a new ssd, I got the same issue, but my problem is this OEM Edition ATI will check if I have a wd drive connect to my pc, and when I boot to that bootable Rescue Media as Steve Smith said, that check failed and my only choice is to reboot to windows, so I'm wondering if there is any way to solve this problem within Windows.
looking forward to some help here

Hello Yonghao,
I think it would be easier to migrate your data using the backup\restore functionality. You can install a free trial of Acronis True Image 2018, then create a full system image (you'll need a spare drive to save the image to and do not forget to select all partitions) and then restore this image onto a new SSD.
