acronis 2019 issues with USB drive created from rescue media builder

Thread needs solution

My wife's laptop wouldn't boot this weekend, so tried to create a USB to use for backup with the new Acronis 2019 from my desktop PC and couldn't get it to boot on her laptop.  Used the simple option.

The laptop has an m.2 drive which seems to have failed, but still reads fine (write fails from acronis recover or windows recovery).  I ordered a replacement part from amazon which should arrive tomorrow.

I ended up getting around this by using my older Acronis 2016 on another laptop and creating a good USB from there,  reading your forum I saw some suggestions like full format the usb (not quick) which didn't work and I even tried the linux based media option which didn't work but different error.  The simple option hung after a dos window listing 2 things and never went to the main screen where you select the option.   This is not urgent, just more of a bug report.   With the 2016 I created a backup which I will use to recover when the replacement comes.

James, welcome to these User Forums.

If you believe that there is an issue with the ATI 2019 Rescue Media Builder tool, then you should open a Support Case direct with Acronis and let them investigate this with you.

I would recommend downloading / using the MVP Log Viewer Tool (see my signature) and using this to review the ti_media_builder log from when you created the USB rescue media to see if any error messages are listed.
