Upgrade from 2010; 2011 won't execute/complete a backup of C: drive

Thread needs solution

After installing the 2011 upgrade over 2010, I have tried several times now to do a simple back-up of my C: drive. Reading the logs, after 2011 locks the C: drive, this error appears:

"Failed to read data from the disk.
Failed to read from sector '238,684,119' of hard disk '3'.
Failed to read the snapshot. (0x10C45A)
CRC error (0x100155)"

I've been a True Image customer for a number of years now, and I have to say this is the first time my frustration level has ever been this high.

All of my hard drives have been checked, with error correction enabled. Running Win 7 Home Premium.

Suggestions, please?

Thanks, Mark

Hello Mark,

Thank you for your post. I will definitely help you.

I understand how frustrating this must be, from my side I would like to give you the best possible instructions for getting this resolved.

Most likely it is caused by the SnapApi drivers responsible for disk operations but we need more information to get to the bottom of this.

We will definitely resolve this issue, please submit a support request with this report. Our experienced support engineers will fix this issue.

If you need additional help or have any other questions, please let me know.

Thank you.

Bringing closure to this thread: ran chkdsk from a DOS prompt outside of Win7; chkdsk found errors not seen under Win7, repaired them, and now TI11 is giving me error-free back-ups.
