Skipping Past Corrupt Files

Thread needs solution

For the most part I have been satisfied with ATI Home 2010, but I have a question.

I do a full backup once a week and that has been working fine for me. Just last week though I noticed the backup failed due to a corrupt directory (which chkdsk was able to later repair). But because of this corrupted directory, the backup failed and thus stopped.

Is there a way to configure Acronis to SKIP a corrupt directory/file and proceed with the full backup? I can always look at the log after wards to see if there were any issues. So if the status for the backup job came up as something like "Completed with Errors", then I would know to check the log.

Thanks for your help....

Hello Charles,

Thank you for your question. I will definitely help you with it.

You can run the backups in a sort of silent mode, where no error messages are displayed and the backup process will not be interrupted. You can enable this setting during backup creation->backup options->Error handling->Do not show messages and dialogs while processing (silent mode). You can also check page 79 in our User Guide for additional information.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
