Edited Backup - Created after mouting full backup..why?

Thread needs solution

I have TrueImage 2010 on Vista 32. I recently backup up my 250GB hard drive, it backed up fine and it mounts fine. However, I mounted it today in read/write mode. It created a 100MB .tib file with the same file name as the full backup but with a 2 after the date. Inside the TI program it specifies this .tib as "edited backup". What is this backup? Why is it there? I did not edit anything.

Thanks

Hello Taqi,

Thank you for posting and welcome to our forum. I would like to help you with this question.

When you mount the image in read/write mode, our program "assumes" that you will be modifying the backup file and creates a small incremental backup to track these changes. Please check page 140 in our User Guide for more detailed information.

In case you have additional questions, please let me know.

Thank you.
