Partitions on drive not recognized

Thread needs solution

I have windows 7 pro 64 bit installed on a new computer. Windows is installed on a 128 GB SSD (My C drive. Another drive SATA has two primary partitions, D and E. D is used for most of my programs, E is used for my Data. I want to clone my system to another drive, to use as a backup. I do not want to clone the E data drive.
I used Acronis TI 10 to easily copy the C drive or partition. When I try to copy the the D drive partition which is on the second drive, TI shows the drive in two partitions, but will not allow me to select, the individual partitions. I do not want to copy the data partition, because it is very large. I have tried to do this several times and still cannot figure out a solution. Can someone please help?
Thank you,
Ron

Ron,

TI only lets you clone an entire drive. You would need to create an image backup of the partition and then restore it to the new drive.
