Corrupted backup on Win7 ATI 2009 after a resume from sleep

Thread needs solution

Hello all,

after reading a lot of alike posts, I noted several complaints about ATI which does not prevent computer to go to sleep mode while any backup is running.

Seemed to be solved in 2010 release but not (yet?) in 2011.

In order to get this feature included in ATI (which has to be in such a class security software), what should Acronis propose to have my problem solved in a SHORT term?

2009 is not supported on Win7. OK, so be it... but what is my added value to upgrade to 2011 if still the same (very annoying) issue, which, by the way, made my backup unusable. It was impossible to get access to the first volume of my incremental backup set.

If I didn't have performed a validation test, I could never have made aware of it. So... what's next??

Best regards
Alain

I was just able to register my 2009 home true image last week. after having it for a year. I was able to make a 13 disc image and tried to use it to recover certain files. It was a joke, couldnt see the discs that were 2 days old, supposedly good i had to 'browse' and manually entered them and it kept requesting out of order discs, 13, 1, 11 and by the time it got to the third request, the system just hung and finally gave an error message that it couldnt read the disc , the next time it was corrupt, the third time it was fine but the disc 1 was now the culprit. this was a very slow process, it is a slug, doesnt move like a had a 20mz processor and 8mb of ram still. I am using Win7x64, amd phenom II x4 965 at 3.9ghz and have sata super multi drives that are 24x brand new and they opened as if they were 12yrs old cd drives. i have 4 hard drives sata II so i was able to install the whole thing and add ons in the computer but it was useless, i kept getting the 'not responding' message. i have plenty of juice in this thing and i never get that message, screens are instant. even my blu ray movies open faster in the 10x bd rom super multi combo drive. i have 3 internal drives and one external super combo. I dont think i will be keeping this baby long. it seems useless and anything it is supposed to do, windows can do easier , faster and is dependable. i was able to but the bood recovery f11 in the mbr, but i have neverr needed anything like that, my motherboards are suitably equipped so it seems the whole program is redundant and old, i have 2009 simply because i got it last year and it would not let me enter the key, there was a trick, i got sent to the registration page but that isnt what i was supposed to do. i was supposed to go some other site or page and register first, then go back and register again with the key. i never had to do that before so i had no idea, i tried it now and again until i was able to locate and connect to the live chat this week.
I read your post and see you indicate the incompatibility with windows 7? I had a live chat with the support people for 45mins and i was never told it was not even worth registering it because of compatibility issues. i asked directly about the win7 x 64 i have because it was as much a lark to try it after all this time. live and learn i guess
