ATI is creating a 170GB exe file in my appdata/temp that fills my drive

Thread needs solution

Hi all. ATI is creating a 170GB exe file in my appdata/temp that fills my drive. I keep deleting it, but it keeps coming back. This is how big it is since I last deleted it 10 minutes ago https://www.screencast.com/t/N7ncZHg4qc

I used the 2019-14610 installer and when it installed it asked me to download and install the latest which I did

I've uninstalled ATI

i've run the cleanup utility

There are no acronis processes or services running so I don't know where that file is coming from.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give.

This looks to be the installer file for 14610 version product.  It would only be showing up in your AppData/temp folder if you directed your browser to do so or, you could have some malware on your PC that is behind it.

170GB installer file? I ran malwarebytes and it didn't find anything. Any other opinions?....

EDIT: nvm. found the task scheduler entry that was causing the problem.

Please share more for this issue?  What exactly was the task scheduler entry doing?  Was this the Windows Task Scheduler, or was it the Acronis Schedul2 process?

OK, thanks for letting us know.
