Back-Up Errors, Drive Size?

Thread needs solution

My PC has two 2TB drives in a RAID1 array. The contents equate to 127GB.

The back-up hard drive I have is a Western Digital 1TB Elements drive connected to the PC via USB 2.0.

I am wanting to back-up my system so if the RAID drives fail I can restore the PC from the external drive.

This PC is powered on 24/7 and is on a UPS back-up.

When I go to setup a Partition Back-up, Single Version, Disabled Sector-by-Sector, schedule it shows that my external drive doesn't have enough space even though it is empty.

When I try to run a "Back up now", I get a Error message, "An Error occured while creating the file".

I need this PC to be backed up daily at night.

Any advice on what can be done to correct this problem would be appreciated!

BTW, I am also getting an error code when I go to save my back-up settings and I can't find it on the site:

0x00040007+0000FFF0+0x80070003

Also, it won't let me Delete the Back-Up or settings.

Hello Heather,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your post. I will help you with resolving this issue.

It is possible the disk is showing that it does not have enough space because of a setting, you can check this setting in the backup options->notifications. Please check the screenshot attached to my post for more information.

I will need to look at additional logs in order to understand why the "An Error occured while creating the file" occurs.

About the error with the backup settings, please create a screenshot so that I can tell you why this happens.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
