Unable to backup to NAS (error: The network share is inaccessible)
Source: Windows 10 (build 1803)
Software: Acronis True Image 2019 (build 14690)
Target: Synology DS212J
The backup failed with error: "The backup failed. Ensure that folder "\\server\blah\' is accessible."
Using the MVP Log Viewer 2.10, the error is: "Error 0xb042b: The network share is inaccessible."
This "\\server\blah\" directory is read/writeable with no issue from Windows Explorer (as a Windows network shared drive "S:"). Copy/delete/etc. all working fine.
Re-edited connection settings for \\server\blah\ (admin id/pw) with test connection established OK. Pointed target to drive "S:" as above.
Re-run backup but still failed with same issue. Also tried to turn off Norton Antivirus (smart firewall, auto-protect).
Please help. Thank you very much!

Hoang, welcome to these public User Forums.
Please see KB 58004: Acronis True Image 2016: Troubleshooting Issues Related to NAS Credentials - this still applies to later versions of ATI.
I personally have no problems making backups to my own Synology DS215j NAS but I do not map any drive letters directly to the NAS from Windows (for security).
My only credentials used by ATI for the NAS is a dedicated user created on the NAS for ATI backup tasks to use which I specify in my task credentials. I have no matching Windows user credentials or accounts on the NAS.

Thanks for the KB link, Steve. There are some diagnostic methods in that link that I haven't try yet. Will try soon.
Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Issue resolved. I created a new user ID on the Synology NAS with admin privilege and used it instead of the admin ID previously used. The backup worked perfectly. Thanks again Steve for the "dedicated" user idea :)

Glad to see this solved.
Here is a further notice though:
MVPs, customers please make sure that you have applied the latest security updates to your NAS and take care to use SMB 2.0 or 3.0 protocol to avoid issues with network shares. Starting with Windows 10 1803 and later version will try to shutdown the insecure (Wannacry and sorts) SMB 1.0 protocol, thus making network neighbourhood working differently or shares inaccessible when the server uses SMB 1.0 only as Synology does unfortunately by default.
