Can't change backup source from cloned job

Thread needs solution

I wanted to change the source config on an existing job, I understand that would cause issue with the existing backup set so I cloned the job so that I did not have to re-enter all the other settings. On the cloned job (before doing a backup) I expected to be able to change the source settings and then run the job and delete the first backup set.

Due to an Acronis "feature" this is not possible. Clicking the "source" box on the backup job does nothing.

I am not aware of any problems in this particular area with ATI 2018.  I have just tried to recreate the steps you have mentioned, i.e. to clone the settings of an existing backup task, then select different source data for that cloned task, and I was able to do so with no problem.

Do you have the latest build 10410 for ATI 2018?
Did you upgrade from a previous ATI version, and if so, what version was that?

Build 10410 and fresh install from 10410 installer. If I clone an existing backup job and click to change the source selection on the NEW cloned job it does nothing. No response to the click. I had to create a new backup job from scratch.

Could be something to do with the misaligned active region for clicking reported in another thread.

Can only recommend opening a Support Case for this issue, not seeing any such problems on any of my computers running build #10410 for ATI 2018.  Did see a similar issue for selecting the Destination data but even that 'went away' without doing anything!

I know this is over a year old, but I have the same issue.  Was this ever resolved?

Thanks,

JDJ, welcome to these public User Forums.

The simple answer is that no-one else was able to reproduce the issue reported here and still cannot do so.

I would recommend doing a Repair Install of your ATI 2018 to see if that will resolve this for you.  To do a Repair, download the final full installer program from your Acronis account, then reinstall over the top of what is already there i.e. without uninstalling.
