Messy Backup System

Thread needs solution

Having had Acronis 2011 installed for a few weeks and trying to learn the system, I now have a rather confused Backup system. I started with a Full backup and added some scheduled Incremental and NSB backups. As the backups are eating up my external 1TB hardrive I have a couple of questions.
1. Can I manually delete older backups.?
2. If I wanted to start again doing just scheduled Full backups would I be better to reformat my external drive.?
3. My external drive is "E". I have "NSB" and "My System" going to E:\\ and my above backups going to E:\\My Backups.
Should I have all going to My Backups.?
I hope someone can help me sort this out. Please.
Be gently with me. I am ancient.

If you can delete the backups from within TI - right click on the task and select delete, this will also delete the task.

For the NSB images (which are the ones probably causing you to run out off space, you will need to open the Tmeline Explorer and delete those ones from there.

You don't have to defrag your destination drive for the images, but if you are going to defrag your source drive this shouldbe done before you make an image. Each time you defrag enough sector changes will have taken place to cause TI to make an incremental (if that is the task) almost as large as an original full one.

I would keep the NSB images separate to the other images.

What frequency do you have set for the disk/partition images?

I think a slight tinkering with your schedule should fix your problem.
