QUEUEING Why does starting a scheduled backup SOMETIMES show "queued?"

Thread needs solution

I have a backup scheme as one of my scheduled backups.
BUT for some reason I want to RUN/START it "outside" the schedule. I do "start" on that scheme in the scheduled list.
Sometimes the scheme then starts IMMEDIATELY -
BUT sometimes it shows "queued" even though I have no other back-up running.
AND THEN - much later - it will show up as "completed"
WHY does it SOMETIMES queue, and sometimes start immediately?
AND why does it then much later actually run?

If another task is definitely not running and the one marked as queued is not waiting for an external drive to become available, the scheduler has become confused.

In the main I have found that ABR10 sorts itself out once all the tasks have actually run, however where that doesn't happen, deleting the task and remaking it seesm to have worked. If that doesn't work for you, then the scheduler might need to be updated.

Do you have any other software that might lock your disk for access purposes, such as a background defragger etc?

Which build of ABR10 do you have?
