Acronis True Image Home 2010

Thread needs solution

Does anybody know whether the new version of ATIH 2010 include Media Add-ons for BartPE?  In 2009, there was a special entry for this under:

C:\Program Files\Acronis\Media Add-ons

Also please confirm that when a user uses Acronis True Image Recovery CD to back up the computer, does this also copies the entire boot drive so that it can be copied back when the need arises.  I am asking this because my intention is to copy the entire DELL system (at factory level settings) expected to be delivered in about 2 weeks time.  the idea is to create a backup of the system even before switching it on i.e. at factory level settings.

Thank you.

Yes, the Rescue CD, if you check mark Disk 1 when making the backup, will backup the *entire* hard drive. So whatever state it is in at the time of backup that is how it will be restored.

For the BartPE add-on, if ver 2010 is the same as ver 2009 in this respect, the add-on is available as a seperate download after you register and log in to your account.

Thanks for the swift reply.  This should save me creating another CD for Norton Ghost because the new system will not have any floppy drives.

Yes, it's available as an extra download.  You might want to uninstall the existing one before installing this one just to keep things clean.  Sorry, I forgot that this will be a new system.  You may perhaps also need to create a new Rescue Media CD if you include the Safe media.
