Directory that doesn't exist shows in backup log ...

Thread solved

Hey All - I noticed in my backup log this message (I've XXX'd out personal info):

2020-02-26T07:02:20:839-05:00 23872
W00040011: Error 0x40011: Link target was not backed up.

| trace level: warning
| line: 0xce542e14da203bec
| file: c:\bs_hudson\workspace\790\archive\backuper.cpp:973
| function: Archive::BackupOperation::ProcessItems
| line: 0xce542e14da203bec, c:\bs_hudson\workspace\790\archive\backuper.cpp:973, Archive::BackupOperation::ProcessItems
| Path: D:/XXXX/XXXXX
| $module: ti_demon_vs_17750

The overall backup was reported as successful. But what is file:
c:\bs_hudson\workspace\790\archive\backuper.cpp:973

No such directory exists and I have seen it in a few recent log posts here as well.

Thanks, in advance!

Hi Marcus, I see this is your first post; Welcome to the user forum.

As often happens, particularly when making initial post, your post has ended up in the wrong place (not your doing/fault), so I am uncertain which product and build your are using. I suspect it is True Image, but I could be mistaken.

First, Acronis occasionally includes error tag when, from an end user perspective, there is no problem. I am not familiar with the type of issue you reported, so hopefully another user will be able to point us in the right direction.

Second, provide details of the version and build of ATI you are using - some things are build or version specific.

Ian

Marcus, welcome to these public User Forums.

The c:\bs_hudson\ folder / directory path references are purely diagnostic information used by the Acronis developers to debug their application code and should be ignored by users as do not refer to any local file locations.

Note: these references have been reduced significantly in ATI 2020 with the move of much diagnostic information to the backup_worker logs, removing it from the ti_demon logs that it appeared in for many previous versions of ATI.

Ian, the log snippet in the initial post shows that Marcus is on ATI 2019 final build 17750 via the reference to ti_demon_vs_17750

Thanks so much Steve. This is very helpful!
