Now receiving email from noreply-abc@cloud.acronis.com

Thread solved

I've been receiving email from "noreply-abc@cloud.acronis.com" but I do not use cloud services. So now I'm getting email from my backup client and one from cloud services. If I turn off the email generated by the client will I still get the email from cloud services even though I don't subscribe to cloud services? Very confusing.

Fred, these emails come from the Acronis Dashboard servers for your backup tasks but have been unreliable for some months in my own experience!

I would recommend keeping to the email notifications sent from the backup client tasks rather than relying on the 'cloud' ones to keep arriving!

The dashboard notifications are controlled in your profile / account settings when you go to the dashboard webpage where they can be enabled or turned off.

I would have posted a screen shot for this but the dashboard crashes out with an error when I try to access it!

I can confirm what Steve says about the cloud generated emails being unreliable. Of the 5 PCs I use regularly for all but one I get email notifications, but for one I have not received any for many months. Unfortunately for me, it is the PC I use most!

Yes. Email form the Acronis cloud servers is consistently inconsistent. Some days I get one for each machine, other days only one or none.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I'll keep the messages coming from my client.
