one-click restore doesn't find the image

Thread needs solution

Hello

I did an image with integrated one-click restore on a DVD.

The booting is not the problem. It works fine. I can choose one-click restore.

But then I get an error message that there is no image on the DVD.

But it is on the DVD. I can see it with the explorer. I can restore the image from the DVD with TI on XP.

But it is not possible with one-click restore.

Has somebody a suggestion or solution?

Thanks al lot.

Hello David,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

First of all, please make sure you use the latest build, which is available here. To get access to updates you should first register Acronis software.

After that, please create a CD with standalone version of Acronis True Image instead of One Click Restore, and copy the image from DVD to some external storage (for example USB HDD), then you will be able to browse your image located on this drive and recover it.

Thank you.

Are there known problems with One-click?  I have a ~10 GB hard drive that I need a quick way to restore in testing.  I burn the image to a DVD using the one-click option.  When I attempt to restore, it boots but does not recognize the restore image.  If i put both one-click and the full bootable restore along with the image file i can restore using the full bootable image but not one-click.
My creation is straight forward.  I set the default to one-click and create the full disk restore image to a DVD.  It says the image was created successfully.  Windows explorer shows the file on the DVD.  Any pointers will be appreciated.

The image on the disk is OK.  One-click is so much easier as we do this several times a day to make sure we have a stable installation.

I have the same Problem with Acronis True Image Home 2009, latest Version. It is no solution for me to use the full Version on the restore media.
What can we do to use it.

Thanks.

Hello,

I contacted Acronis Support regarding this issue since having the same problem. The only "solution" is the workaround described by "Alexander" in answer #1 of this topic. It seems that this problem can only be fixed in the software itself. They provided me a free update from a build when the problem was fixed (shedule unknown).

So, if you have the same problem contact Acronis in order to get an update when avialable for free.

Best regards
Willy
